Product Description
Choose from four learning screens that advance as your baby grows. Leveled learning allows you to encourage and reward your baby at every stage by choosing from the four learning screens: Classical Connections, Baby Senses, Word Play and Learning Songs. Each learning screen provides your little one with an engaging, age-appropriate way to explore and develop new skills. The system easily transforms as your baby learns and grows, and features a timed setting that plays up to 15 minutes of soothing classical music. Requires 4 "AA" batteries (not included).

Editorial Review
Many play gyms lose their usefulness once baby can reach up and grab the toys. The LeapStages infant learning system, on the other hand, continues to engage babies up until 18 months or so, with an evolving series of activities and configurations. Structured so an infant can lie underneath and bat and kick at toys, the system is also sturdy enough for babies to sit at and toddlers to stand in front of. A combination of musical, verbal, and imagery activities presented in a series of four interchangeable screens help kids develop important skills and aptitudes as they grow.

Each slide-out screen is suited to a different age and development level. The first stage, for infants, uses classical music, contrasting patterns, and light-up shapes for visual and brain development. Stage two features baby photos, twinkling lights, and recorded baby sounds for vocal and social learning. In the third stage, babies who can sit up play with touch-responsive lights and phonetic sounds to develop connections between words and things. In the final stage, suited to little ones over a year, dancing lights and sing-along songs enhance memory and language skills. Sturdily made and easy to use, the LeapStages system runs on three AA batteries and includes volume control. Simple assembly is required. --Emily Bedard

5 out of 5 stars Great for Infants and Toddlers!   October 27, 2005

UPDATE:
My son is now a year old and we have it on the standing setting. He still loves to go by and play with it. It helps him practice crusing and he will mimic the words and sounds. Cool product!

-------------------------
My six week old son loved this product. He would stare at the high contrast shapes on the stage one screen with the lights and listen to the music. As he got older he started to coo at the lights and kick the paddles to keep the music going.

I like how the system has 4 screens to grow with the child. The system is low enough for an infant on their back to interact with and the paddles are easy for their feet to reach and kick.

A great buy!

5 out of 5 stars Great toy for the youngest infants!   December 26, 2005

My daughter loved this toy from the time she was only 2 months old - even when she was too young for the most basic toys. The lights and music keep her attention, and the music is enjoyable for all of us. Durable, educational, and versatile (since it has different cards for different developmental stages) - I love this toy!!!

UPDATE: My daughter played with this toy until she was about 3, and even now (she is 5) we still sing the "rainbow song". We handed it down to a friend's son who didn't enjoy it AS much as my daughter did, but still got LOTS of use out of it. The toy still works like the day we took it out of the box. I suppose your experience may vary, but I swear by this toy. (Okay, I wish it had more letter cards and/or song cards, but it's still great, and the black/white classical music was genius!)

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, our daughter LOVES it   January 8, 2006

Our daugther absolutely loves this toy. She has had it since she was 8 weeks old. As soon as we put her under it she starts to smile, coo, and kick. You can decide if you want the music to play for 5, 10, or 15 minutes. She will sit under there for 15 min. at a time easily, and LOVES it. She stares and smiles at the black and white shapes that light up.

It's great b/c it has 3 other stages we can move onto as she gets older.

Very cute toy! It calms our little girl down immediately!

My son just turned six months old, and he loves this toy. His face lights up watching the screens, and he loves pressing the levers. It's the perfect size for him to sit at, too. It was a bit of a challenge putting it together, though, and for some reason it says not to use rechargeable batteries in it. But we are very happy with it.

5 out of 5 stars And She Loves It!!!   February 23, 2006
ME (Moore, OK USA)
I have a 2 1/2 month old girl and she absolutly loves this! We got it on Christmas when she was only 2 weeks old and she would move to the music from then on. Now she can actually track the lights and even hit the plastic things some. She would rather be under that and talking to it as opposed to being held.

The only downer...I havn't used the other stages yet because of her age. I don't know how those will be but for now, it's wonderful!
