The globe is small compared to most globes. Didn't measure it but it is only about a foot in height and less than a foot in width (considerably smaller than most globes I have seen). I didn't realize the size was going to be small when I purchased it (probably my lack of reading the details). However, it is a perfect size for us. We really didn't need a big globe anyway. So I was actually ecstatic that it was small! This way we have more table space. Also, it has all the info on it that we need (just like other globes). Very happy with the product. (We bought this for a 5 year old whom has shown interest/fascination with globes for the past two years.)

I homeschool 4 children and already have so much school "stuff" that I needed a globe that wouldn't take up much room. I was a little worried that the small size would make it difficult to read or see detail but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The names are bold and very readable and the detail is all there. It was a smart purchase.

I have to agree with some other reviews that this globe may not be the most sturdy ever made, but for what it costs vs. what you get it is excellent. Do not be put off by people who say it falls apart. We found it more than durable and did not have any problems with it at all. If you are looking for an illuminated globe that is not expensive, this might be the way for you to go.

I was looking for a globe of more modest proportions and this globe is just the right size for my application. Reviews of other globes this size from different sellers indicate some globes have oceans that are navy blue. That is not the case with this globe, the oceans are light blue just like the picture.

For $12.99 (shipping included), you get a pretty decent world globe. It only measures 6" in diameter but it has all the information one would need.
